Swipe your finger across the reader several times as promptedĨ. Enter your PIN (don't hit enter) or passwordħ. This driver also resolves the yellow exclamation point. Select Set up under the Fingerprint headingĦ. This utility installs the originally shipped version of the AuthenTec AES1660 Fingerprint Sensor driver. Instead use Windows Windows Settings to add fingerprints on the Eikon Mini. The way to resolve it is not to use the AuthenTec software as AuthenTec have not released updated software to my knowledge. The AuthenTec Eikon Mini driver still appeared under Biometric devices. The EikonTouch 710 utilizes our patented technology to capture a wide range of fingerprints and fine print details with superior image quality for a broad range of use cases. Windows compatibility checker removed the software automatically, but did it in a very orderly fashion. The EikonTouch 710 capacitive fingerprint reader provides quick and reliable biometric authentication and is the only touch silicon FIPS 201 PIV certified single fingerprint reader on the market. Windows 10 removed the AuthenTec software for the Eikon mini finderprint reader. I had the same issue and was able to resolve it. I am not sure if you found a resolution as yet.

The laptop which works with the Eikon also shows no Windows Compatible Camera.Īny suggestions? I did a search for updated drivers and came up empty.Įikon Mini USB fingerprint reader not working in windows 10 It still shows up under other devices, no driver, and still is not recognized for Windows Hello. I copied these into the proper directories on the non-functioning laptop, but that didn't change things. Under properties, it shows 5 files for the driver.
It recognizes the Eikon, shows it under Biometric devices in Device Manager, that it is functioning properly. The other laptop was upgraded using an in-place upgrade to 20H2. It also tells me there is no Windows Hello compatible camera installed, whereas before under the previous version it worked. Windows Hello under settings says there is no compatible fingerprint reader installed. Windows was unable to find a driver for it. The Eikon fingerprint reader I have no longer shows up in Device Manager as a Biometric Input device- instead it shows up under Other Devices, with a yellow warning triangle that the driver is not installed.
